As a mom of two, I love creative activities, seasonal fun, and making special memories with my kids — but I also know how busy everyday life can feel.
I don’t want to spend hours preparing complicated crafts or activities that only hold attention for five minutes.
That’s why I’ve completely fallen in love with simple “print-and-go” activities. Just print, grab scissors or crayons, and start creating.
Over time, these low-prep activities have actually helped my own children become more interested in crafting, coloring, and creative play. Sometimes the simplest ideas end up becoming the most memorable ones.
One Halloween cut-and-paste skeleton craft is still hanging on our fridge because the kids loved it so much — and honestly, Halloween season is almost back again, so I may just leave it there a little longer.
Seasonal Paper Crowns
Printable paper crowns have become one of our favorite easy activities because kids can color, decorate, wear, and immediately turn them into imaginative play.
Some of our favorite seasonal crown ideas include:
- 4th of July paper crowns
- Back to School crowns
- Halloween crowns
- Thanksgiving crowns
- Valentine’s Day crowns
- St. Patrick’s Day crowns
- End of School Year crowns
They work so well for classrooms, homeschool activities, parties, holiday celebrations, and even simple rainy afternoons at home. I also love that they feel “special” to kids without requiring lots of supplies or preparation.

Printable Accordion Crafts
Accordion mini books are another favorite in our home. They combine coloring, storytelling, and creativity in a simple printable format that feels exciting for kids. And they are so cute!
These little foldable books are perfect for:
- quiet time
- travel activities
- classroom centers
- seasonal themes
- early writing practice

Kids love seeing their finished mini books come together so quickly, and they’re easy to display or save as keepsakes.
Cut-and-Paste Crafts
Cut-and-paste crafts are probably some of the most loved activities in our family. They’re simple, hands-on, and easy enough to pull out even on busy days when energy is low.
I especially love seasonal printable crafts because they instantly make everyday moments feel a little more festive without creating extra stress for parents.
Sometimes the easiest activities become the ones kids remember most.
And honestly? If a paper skeleton stays on the fridge for almost a full year, I think that counts as a success.
